About Us
Earthly Suds Co. is located on the beautiful coast of Maine. My husband and I went into business in 2006 and still love what we do - making soap in small batches with lots of love and natural ingredients.
Our soaps are made from oils such as coconut, sustainable palm, olive, and avocado oil just to name a few. We also use creamy vegan butters like mango, cocoa, and shea for added moisturizing. Essential oils and/or fragrance oils which we make sure are phthalate free are used for scent, and some soaps even contain dried flowers and herbs, grown here on our organic farm. All things your skin thrives on. And, three years ago we became Leaping Bunny certified!

Additionally, we offer a full line of aromatherapy products, handcrafted in house. I became an aromatherapist several years ago, certified through the Dr. Andrew Weil Center of Integrative Medicine, in Arizona. Try out my sprays, inhalers, essential oils, and treat yourself to a pretty diffuser necklace.

We care about the environment and are doing what we can to protect it. 95% of the shrink wrap used is a special biodegradable type. Our jars and bottles are made of PET plastic which can be recycled into great items like fleece jackets or running shoes. Plus, the lightweight plastic saves on shipping and is less likely to break in transit. We also switched from bubble wrap to crinkle paper for packing material in our outgoing orders.
So go ahead - treat yourself because good soap doesn't have to be boring!

* A note about colorings - We are sometimes asked about what we use to color our soaps. In some we use strictly plant extracts such as beet powder, spirulina, indigo root etc. Others contain micas and oxides which are lab created to match what Mother Earth gives us minus the arsenic and lead. They are FDA approved for use on skin and are the same colorings used in mineral makeups.
